#LCinUSA Apr 2015 Part 3 Seattle, Washington

20-22 Apr 2015, Monday-Wednesday PST (UTC/GMT -7 hour)
Seattle (SEA)

In this post, I'll share with you the places I'd been to in Seattle between Monday to Wednesday. The content is pretty heavy, including the Pike Place Market, Walk along Hiram M Chittenden Locks, Baseball Match live at Safeco Field and Dinner at El Camino (Mexican Restaurant).

Pike Place market is an interesting and lively place in downtown Seattle. It's a must-visit if you ever come to the city. It is full of character of its own. You can find the freshest seafood, cheese that are produced right here (there's a window where you can see the process), pastry shops, restaurants, and the original Starbucks is located in this market too! Here's a summary of what I captured between 20-23 Apr at Pike Place Market.

Pike Place Market

The Original Starbucks
1912 Pike Place, Seattle, WA 98101, United States

Original/First Starbucks in the world (as advertised; the "real" one has shifted from its original location to Pike Place)

Piroshky Piroshky
1908 Pike Place, Seattle, WA 98101, United States

The place where I bought my breakfast for consecutive four days. They produce awesome bakery! I tried Beef and Cheese, Smoked Salmon (x2) and Potato & Mushroom. The BEST was smoked salmon! It was REALLY GOOD! Potato & Mushroom was quite a disappointment.

Dr. D's Greek Delicacies
1518 Pike Place, Seattle, WA 98101, United States

This was where I got my lunch from on 21 Apr, Tuesday. Their Lamb Yeero was delicious! I've never really like lamb's taste but this was very different from the usual lamb I had in Singapore. It didn't have the bad strong 'gamey' taste at all. Try it!

Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt
1500 Pike Place, Seattle, WA 98101, United States

You can find really tasty yogurt here at Pike Place market too. Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt offers a wide variety of flavours and I bet you will find what you like here. Better than llaollao, in my opinion. And one good thing is, they included tax in their price! So you don't have to add another 9.5% on top of the price.

Pike Place Fish Co.
86 Pike Place, Seattle, WA 98101, United States

As our office has a balcony with a BBQ pit and the weather was great on Monday, we decided to have lunch cooked by a former chef TA who works in our company. His cooking was fantastic! Thank you T! We got our ingredients from Pike Place market to prepare for the lunch.

After you've chosen the fish you want, the staff outside will TOSS the fish to pass it to another staff inside. =O

It was a lovely lunch with every member of the company from all around the world, gathering at the same spot.

Some of us headed to White Horse at Pike Place Market in the late evening for some drinks. It was a cozy vintage pub with nice ambience and a giant dog. I'm not kidding. They have a domestic GIANT dog in the pub. Don't worry, she's very friendly. =)

Even though I had little understanding on baseball, it was fun to catch it live and discussing the details with my colleagues who know it more than me. Thank you SS and the company!

I'd strongly recommend this Mexican restaurant given the ambience, service and most importantly well-prepared food.

I am not a fan of mussels but this was AWESOME.

The sauce was really appetizing!

Enchiladas En Mole, Mole Poblano (Three white corn tortillas filled with shredded, free range chicken & carmelized onion. Garnish with sliced radish & scallion. Lightly sweet with a hint of chocolate. This mole is made with peanuts.)

Happy Birthday TS! Oh your chocolate cake was so yummy!

The Whisky Bar

This was my location on the last night in Seattle. A glass of shot in USA is 2 times the glass of shot in Singapore. You'll get tipsy/drunk 2x faster.

Seattle, you never fail to amaze me with your variety of food, views and people. I will be back again!

Next up, ALASKA!
